Ornate Bichirs are a striking fish that can add a lot of personality to an aquarium. Bichirs are unique in that they have adapted to being able to live outside of the water for short periods of time. Because of this, it is highly recommended to be sure your aquarium has a top on it that is escape proof! They can easily climb out if not.
Bichirs are semi-aggressive in the sense that they will eat what they can fit into their mouth, but outside of that they tend to be peaceful tank mates.
