Glolite tetras are a hardy schooling fish, and can be a great addition to beginner aquariums. They do best in groups of 6 or more, and would get along well in most peaceful community type setups. Their orangish-red body stripe is quite pronounced once they begin to mature, and their color really stands out in dim or tannin-stained aquariums.
