This .75 inch bulkhead features a SLIP X Thread (Inside Top x Inside Bottom) connection. The rubber bushing always goes on the "wet" side of the tank or reservoir for a proper seal. Threaded pipes or fittings require Teflon tape in between the joint to ensure a water tight seal.
Slip bulkheads are smooth on the inside and are typically used for aquarists wanting to hard plumb with schedule 40 rigid PVC pipe.
